For students starting in the fall:

Yes, all incoming freshmen and transfer students are required to complete orientation. Through orientation, students will meet with an academic advisor, have the opportunity to register for classes, and learn how to be a successful Tiger in and out of the classroom. 

Freshmen students are covered in their enrollment confirmation. Fees are as followed: 

Students: $0
Guests: $50 per guest. Up to two guests per student

Overnight Stay: $35

Orientation one-day program with an optional overnight component. Official check in will be from 7:30am on the orientation session date and will conclude by 4:30pm.

Family members are an important part of the transition to college and we encourage a family member or guest to attend with students.

While students and guests will have some information sessions together, they will also be seperate at points. Most notably will be in the afternoon when guests will engaged with Parent & Family specific content while the students meet with their academic advisor to get registered for classes. 

If you are unable to attend the session you registered for, please login to the registration portal to choose another open session or email us at orientation@memphis.edu.

Yes, your immunization forms should be submitted prior to your session date. Those can be uploaded to our Health Center by clicking here. Failure to satisfy your immunization requirements may affect class registration.

Yes. You will receive your student ID prior to departing orientation.

For students starting in the spring:

No. Attendance is not mandatory for incoming Spring students. However, it is strongly encouraged for you to sign up to learn more about the resources available to you as a student.

  • Students: $30
  • Guests: $10 per guest

Family members are an important part of the transition to college and we encourage a family member or guest to attend with students.

  • All incoming Spring students should schedule an advising appointment with their respective academic advisors.
  • Please contact your academic department to set up an advising appointment and register for classes prior to attending spring orientation.
