Biography
Michelle Vigneau, Associate Professor of oboe and member of the Memphis Woodwind Quintet, received a Bachelor's degree from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, a Master's degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, and a DMA in oboe performance from the University of Texas. She has taught at Colby College, Bates College, the Portland Conservatory of Music, the University of Cape Town, and the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Dr. Vigneau has performed with orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout the United States and Mexico and spent three years playing in the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra. She joined the faculty of the University of Memphis in 2003.
