Biography
Dr. Lane was born in Texas and has lived and taught music lessons in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Tennessee. After receiving her degree in music education, she and her husband moved to Oklahoma, where she taught general music classes and private piano lessons. Since that time, she has been teaching in both public and private schools while maintaining a private music studio. Before moving to Memphis, she was teaching class piano, music appreciation, private piano lessons, and serving as an accompanist at the University of Louisiana in Monroe.
Currently, Dr. Lane teaches music education classes at the University of Memphis, music appreciation classes at Mid America college, manages the Germantown Youth Symphony, is the organist and choir director at Collierville Christian Church, and teaches private violin, piano, guitar, cello and voice at Lausanne Collegiate School and Germantown Baptist Church Conservatory.
