Biography
Caroline Kelley is a native of San Diego, CA and has been actively involved in music for most of her life. She graduated high school in 2009 and attended Oklahoma City University with aspirations of stage performance, but a job in the Interlibrary Loan department sparked an interest in research and musical scholarship instead. She received her BA in Music in 2013 and since went on to pursue degrees in historical musicology. She finished her Master of Music degree in 2017 as the recipient of the Graduate Document Award. She is currently working on a dissertation on musical concepts in Northern Renaissance painting. Scholarly interests include early music printing, music and visual art, and historically informed performance practice.
She has been working in the Music Library since 2018. As an assistant, she helps keep the library up and running by keeping tabs on circulating materials, assisting patrons with research, taking inventory of the collection, and offering general reference help in the library's online chat feature. In her spare time, you might find her at the Rec Center pool swimming laps, or she is sewing, knitting, and cultivating her patio garden.
