Biography

Dr. Pamela Gaston received her B.M. and M.M. degrees from Pittsburg State College and her D.M.A. from the University of Kansas City Conservatory studying with Margaret Thuenemann and Martha Holmes Longmire. She performed opera roles with Graz Oper, Klagenfurt Oper, St. Louis Opera Theatre, Des Moines Metro Opera, Kansas City Opera, Opera Memphis and others. Her oratorio and concert appearances include Kansas City Symphony, Memphis Symphony, McAllen Symphony and the Choral Arts Singers. While at the University of Memphis, she served as Area Coordinator of Vocal Arts, taught Foreign Language Diction, History of Song as well as studio voice. As a mezzo-soprano, she specialized in the song repertory of Maurice Ravel, Herbert Howells and Josef Marx.
