Jazz Singers

The University Jazz Singers is the premier vocal jazz ensemble for The University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music. Under the direction of Dr. Jack Cooper, Jazz Singers consists of 10 to 15 vocalists and a rhythm section that performs a wide range of music from traditional arrangements of jazz standards to more contemporary fusion jazz.

Jazz Singers perform multiple times each semester throughout the Mid-South and at the annual Memphis Jazz Festival. 

Jazz Singers is open to undergraduates through doctoral candidates by audition. Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester.
