September 12, 2024 — The University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music has received a $50,000 grant from the Truist Charitable Fund to bolster its instrument loan program and support its summer music camp.

"To achieve and maintain the highest standards of excellence, UofM students need consistent access to professional equipment and technology," said Dr. Albert Nguyen, interim director of the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music. "This consistency is crucial in their journey to becoming world-renowned artists and elite educators who will make a lasting impact on both Memphis and the global arts community."
