University of Memphis Names Dr. Ed Scott Next Athletics Director
The University of Memphis has named Dr. Ed Scott as its next Senior Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 22, 2024. Scott has served as Deputy Athletics Director at the University of Virginia since January 2022 and comes to Memphis with previous athletics director experience at Morgan State University.

Gripping Sports Image Earns UofM Student Silver ADDY
Zach Wall, a senior Creative Mass Media major graduating from the Department of Journalism and Strategic Media, won a Silver ADDY honor at the annual American Advertising Awards for his black-and-white image of Kendric Davis. Wall’s meteoric rise to the top of his game can be attributed to several things, including being in the right place at the right time, whether that be a sporting event or the University of Memphis.

New Senior Vice Provost Named at University of Memphis
An accomplished academic and administrator will take on a new role as Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development, the University of Memphis announced. Kandi Hill-Clarke, Ed.D., was most recently the Provost Fellow for Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development, a role she took after serving as Dean of the College of Education (COE) from 2017-2023.
