UofM Board of Trustees will meet March 1
The University of Memphis Board of Trustees will meet on Wednesday, March 1 in the Maxine A. Smith University Center on the UofM campus. The full Board will convene with an executive session following to discuss matters confidential under state law. The full Board of Trustees meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the Bluff Room. The meeting is open to the public and will be livestreamed.

University of Memphis and Bank of America Launch Inaugural Career Fellows Program for African American Students
The Fogelman College of Business and Economics, in partnership with Bank of America, have launched the FCBE Career Fellows Program. This initiative is designed to engage, educate and effectively prepare African American business students for professional success.

UofM’s Hooks Institute and Leadership Fayette to Host Robert Hamburger, Author of the Fayette County Civil Rights Movement Book 'Our Portion of Hell'
The Benjamin L. Hooks Institute for Social Change and Leadership Fayette will host a book signing with Robert Hamburger, author of "Our Portion of Hell: Fayette County, Tennessee: An Oral History of the Struggle for Civil Rights" at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25 at the Fayette County Public Schools Central Administration Building. In addition to the book signing, Hamburger and Daphene McFerren, Hooks Institute executive director and daughter of Fayette County Civil Rights Activists John and Viola McFerren, will speak at the event.
UofM Partners with U.S. Government Publishing Office to Preserve Government Information
The University of Memphis Ned R. McWherter Library is one of three libraries who have signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) to become Preservation Stewards along with the University of Tennessee and the University of Montana.
