UofM to Hold Commencement Saturday, Aug. 6, at FedExForum 

Aug. 2, 2022 — The University of Memphis will recognize 766 graduates from Summer 2022 with a commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, at FedExForum. Dr. Lan Wang, professor and chair for the Department of Computer Science & Willard R. Sparks Eminent Faculty Award recipient for 2022, will be the commencement speaker.

All graduates and guests must arrive one hour prior for lineup. It is encouraged to arrive in the parking areas 90 minutes before each ceremony to help with traffic flow. Doors open at 9 a.m. 

No tickets are required, and the event is free and open to the public.

Of the 766 degrees to be awarded, 413 are Bachelor’s, 51 Graduate Certificates, three Law, 66 Doctoral and 233 Master’s.
