UofM to hold commencement Sunday, Dec. 12, at FedExForum
Dec. 2, 2021 — The University of Memphis will recognize 1,680 graduates from fall 2021 with two commencement ceremonies at noon and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, at FedExForum. The Honorable Bill Haslam will be the commencement speaker and honorary degree recipient of the Doctor of Letters.
All graduates and guests must arrive one hour prior to each ceremony for lineup. It is encouraged to arrive in the parking areas 90 minutes before each ceremony to help with traffic flow.
FedExForum is no longer requiring masks and vaccine requirements. Guests can enter as normal and signs are still posted recommending masks, but it is not required for entry.
The noon commencement includes the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, College of Arts & Sciences, College of Professional & Liberal Studies, Loewenberg College of Nursing and Doctoral and Master candidates from these groups.
The 4 p.m. commencement includes the College of Communication and Fine Arts, College of Education, College of Health Sciences, Fogelman College of Business & Economics, Herff College of Engineering, Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management, School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, School of Public Health and Doctoral and Master Candidates from these groups.
Of the 1,680 degrees to be awarded, 1,119 are Bachelor’s, 101 Graduate Certificates, nine Law, 46 Doctoral and 405 Master’s.
