U.S. News & World Report Ranks 19 UofM Graduate Programs
March 20, 2019 - The University of Memphis has 19 academic programs ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report in its 2020 Best Graduate Schools, including three in the Top 25: Audiology (No. 17), Rehabilitation Counseling (No. 20) and Speech-Language Pathology (No. 24).
The other ranked programs are: Health Care Management (No. 33), Social Work (No. 96), Biomedical Engineering, (a joint program with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, No. 101), Clinical Psychology (No. 102), Part-Time MBA (No. 109), Earth Sciences (No. 111), Public Health (No. 113), Public Affairs (No. 123), Math (No. 127), English (No. 133), History (No. 134), Nursing (No. 135), Law (No. 138), Psychology (No. 148), Education (No. 157) and Biological Sciences (No. 190).
Two programs made notable jumps from the 2019 rankings: Nursing (from No. 155 to No. 135) and Part-Time MBA (from No. 163 to No. 109).
Several specialty programs also placed highly, including Legal Writing (No. 29), Healthcare Law (No. 64) and Law Clinical Training (No. 80).
"It is gratiying to see so many of our graduate programs ranked by U.S. News," said UofM President M. David Rudd. "This would not be possible without the hard work of our faculty, staff and students. It is great to see such continued well-deserved progress."
