UofM Global Lowers Tuition Rates, Keeps Same Quality Programs
May 1, 2018 - The University of Memphis Board of Trustees voted recently to lower tuition rates for its online UofM Global program beginning with the fall 2018 semester. The rate for undergraduate out-of-state tuition will decrease by 12 percent to $420 per credit hour, a savings of $60 per credit hour. The rate for graduate courses will decrease by 20 percent to $603 per credit hour, a savings of $152 per hour.
"Our new UofM Global tuition rates allow us to offer our nationally ranked programs at very competitive rates," said Dr. Richard Irwin, dean of UofM Global and vice provost for Academic Innovation and Support Services.
UofM Global offers over 60 fully online programs, including degrees and graduate certificates.
More than 7,000 students enroll in online courses at the UofM each year, with more than 2,600 completing their academic program fully online.
Several sources have ranked the UofM as the No. 1 online program in the State of Tennessee. "We were the only public institution in the state ranked by U.S. News & World Report," added Irwin. "UofM Global courses, programs and degrees are the exact same as those delivered on campus."
The new rates apply only to fully online students. It excludes R50 classes, which are part of the Regents Online Degree Program. Some additional course fees may apply.
