UofM and STCC Will Host Domestic Violence Summit Sept. 15
September 6, 2017 - One in three women will experience intimate partner violence during their lifetime. Chances are good that you or someone you know may have experienced domestic violence.
To address this issue, the University of Memphis and Southwest Tennessee Community College will host the second annual Domestic Violence Summit Friday, Sept. 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the University Center Bluff Room (304).
Those who attend will learn about resources available to domestic violence victims in Memphis.
The summit is presented by the Athena Project, which is headed by Dr. Gayle Beck. Mearl Purvis of FOX13 News will moderate the summit. Other guests will include representatives from the Family Safety Center, Crime Victims Center, Exchange Club Family Center, YMCA and others.
Parking is available in the Zach Curlin garage.
