Purchasing Multiple Copies
To ensure the greatest value from the funds allocated for library materials, the library does not normally purchase multiple copies of a work. Exceptions may be made for materials housed in non-circulating collections, for which a second circulating copy may be acquired. Except for reference works, the library discourages the purchase of the same work for different branches or departments of the library. All requests for multiple copies must be accompanied by a justification to the Head of the Collection Management or the Collection Development Librarian stating the specific need.
