LEGAL WRITING CENTER
The Writing Center is an integral part of the Legal Methods program and is available only to first-year students enrolled in Legal Methods. Through the Writing Center, students have access to writing workshops and one-on-one writing conferences with the Director of the Writing Center and upper-level-student Writing Fellows, who are trained and supervised by the Director of the Writing Center. The Writing Center also provides students with extensive written resources to supplement the Legal Methods texts and support students.
The Writing Center is led by Dr. Marilyn Dunham Smith, who works closely with the Legal Methods Faculty to ensure that the Writing Center workshops and conferences are consistent with the Legal Methods program and offered at the appropriate time. Through this close collaboration, Dr. Dunham Smith ensures that the Writing Center serves as an excellent resource in support of Legal Methods students.
