Procedure for Student Complaints
The University of Memphis is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist, and doctorate. The University of Memphis also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Questions about the accreditation of the University of Memphis may be directed in writing to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097, by calling 404-679-4501, or by using information available on SACSCOC's website (www.sacscoc.org).
Students or prospective students who wish to file a complaint related to accreditation or regarding violations of state law not resolved at the institution may submit a Student Complaint Form to the Tennessee Board of Regents at 1415 Murfreesboro Road, Suite 340, Nashville Tennessee 37217, or by going online and filling out the form electronically athttp://www.tbr.edu/contact/StudentComplaintForm.aspx. Under Tennessee’s open records law, all or parts of complaints will generally be available for review upon request from a member of the public.

Complaints of fraud, waste or abuse may be made by email at reportfraud@tbr.edu or by calling the Tennessee Comptroller’s Hotline for Fraud, Waste and Abuse at 1-800-232-5454.
