Institutional Effectiveness, Accreditation, & Academic Assessment
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Accreditation, & Academic Assessment coordinates the major activities that include the administration of the State of Tennessee's higher education assessment program (quality assurance funding), senior testing of general education and the major, surveys of alumni and students, and program peer review. The office functions as the liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and conducts all activities associated with regional accreditation.
The University of Memphis is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist, and doctorate. The University of Memphis also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
