Important Information

Students must be admitted to the College of Education's Teacher Education Program (TEP) by the end ot their Junior I semester. All Junior I coursework must be completed and passed with a C- or better before being permitted to register for Junior II coursework. Junior II (Pre-Residency) courses must also be completed and passed with a C- or better before being permitted to register to Residency I courses. For licensure exams, candidates are required to pass Praxis II Content Knowledge exams to be licensed to teach in Tennessee. Visit the Educational Testing Service > for information on registration, costs, and more.
