Integrated Early Childhood (BSEd)

The Integrated Early Childhood concentration B.S.Ed. program at the University of Memphis is dedicated to fostering the holistic development and learning of young children. This specialized track is designed to equip future educators with the essential skills and knowledge to promote child development, cultivate meaningful family and community partnerships, conduct thorough assessments, and create enriching learning experiences for children. Graduates of this program are prepared not only to apply for licensure in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3) but also to positively impact the lives of young learners and their families through thoughtful and evidence-based educational practices.

Teaching Reading: Elementary Education:

Important Information

Students must be admitted to the College of Education's Teacher Education Program (TEP) by the end ot their Junior I semester. All Junior I coursework must be completed and passed with a C- or better before being permitted to register for Junior II coursework. Junior II (Pre-Residency) courses must also be completed and passed with a C- or better before being permitted to register to Residency I courses.
