FAVORITE THING ABOUT HERFF ENGINEERING? The community is really inviting and welcoming. I was apart of the engineering LLC my freshman and sophomore years and I got to know a lot of people.
WHAT ARE YOUR CAREER GOALS? I want to work in the medical device industry
WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS OR HOBBIES? Crocheting, cooking, and art
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU? WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE ENGINEERING? I’m motivated to get this degree so I can get a job that I enjoy when I graduate. I decided to pursue this degree because I have always liked science and math and I wanted to integrate those interests.
ARE YOU INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY? WHERE AND HOW DO YOU VOLUNTEER? I volunteer for the West Tennessee STEM Hub at K-12 schools in Memphis, and I have also volunteered for Urban Stem.
WHAT STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS ARE YOU INVOLVED IN? I am involved in SWE, ITE, Alpha Eta Mu Beta
HAVE YOU PARTICIPATED IN ANY RESEARCH? IF SO, DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE. I am doing undergraduate research in tissue engineering in Dr. Bowlin’s lab. I fabricate artificial blood vessel grafts using an apparatus called the touch spinner.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE? I have lived in 3 different countries, US, Kenya, and Germany.
