Dr. Stephanie Ivey is the Associate Dean for Research for the Herff College of Engineering, associate director of the Division of Transportation and Logistics with the Center for Applied Earth Science and Engineering Research and an Associate Professor with the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Memphis . She also directs the Intermodal Freight Transportation Institute (IFTI) and the Southeast Transportation Workforce Center. Her research includes focus on community livability and transportation planning and policy. She is the project director for the West Tennessee STEM Hub, a regional K-12 outreach initiative. Ivey also has a lengthy and nationally recognized research record focused on STEM and transportation education and workforce issues. She serves as faculty advisor for the University of Memphis student chapters of WTS and the Institute of Transportation Engineers and is a member of the Executive Committee of the ITE Transportation Education Council . >> Full Bio
Dr. Mariquita "Kit" Boone is the pre-award coordinator for Herff College of Engineering. In her role, Kit helps Herff researchers find and secure funding for UofM research and educational projects. She works with research teams during the pre-award phase of the sponsored project lifecycle to ensure the proposal is accurate, complete, and compliant with the sponsor requirements . Support includes proposal assistance, non-financial post-submission assistance, as well as research administration services.
