What influenced your decision to attend Herff College of Engineering?
I decided to attend the Herff College based on undergraduate research and scholarship opportunities.
How did Herff prepare you for your career?
I was able to participate in undergraduate research, which influenced my pursuit of a PhD in biomedical engineering.
Who was your most impactful professor? Why?
My most impactful professor was Dr. Joel Bumgardner. Dr. Bumgardner fostered my interest in biomedical research, presented me with numerous opportunities to engage with and learn about the field, and encouraged me to pursue graduate studies.
Were you involved in student groups? If so, which one(s)?
I have been involved in the Biomedical Engineering Society/Society for Biomaterials, the Society of Women Engineers, the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation, and Alpha Eta Mu Beta.
What was your greatest memory from your time at Herff?
My greatest memory from the Herff College of Engineering is the time that I spent conducting undergraduate research.
What advice would you give those considering enrolling in Herff College of Engineering?
I would advice prospective students to consider the numerous opportunities that the Herff College provides and how they can contribute to your individual success.
Was your Herff experience worth the price? If you could do it over again, what would you do differently?
Yes, I greatly appreciate my time at the Herff College and would choose my experience a second time.
