Message from the Dean

Dear Herff Family,

The events of the last week have hit close to home. These violent actions on the part of a couple of individuals are hard to understand, but there is no doubt that they affect us all. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority, and we plan to review the security of the engineering complex and make improvements where necessary. The University has sent out several notices about safety and counseling, which bears repeating. If you ever feel unsafe on campus, please call Campus Police at 901.678.4357 or use the LiveSafe App. Store this number in your phone and use it when needed. If you need to speak to someone who can help you cope with these recent events, please contact our Counseling Center.
