What influenced your decision to attend Herff College of Engineering?
I was awarded a scholarship that made attending the Herff College of Engineering very
affordable.
How did Herff prepare you for your career?
I had the opportunity to work in a Herff research lab as an undergraduate, which propelled
me to pursue graduate studies and ultimately led to my career in academics and research.
What skills or knowledge did you learn throughout the program that you found most
helpful in your career?
I learned that critical thinking and good communication are just as important as the
technical knowledge and skills in engineering.
Who was your most impactful professor? Why?
My research advisor was most impactful as a teacher and mentor.
Were you involved in student groups? If so, which one(s)?
Society of Women Engineers, Tau Beta Pi
What support(s) did you have during your time as a college student? How did you keep
focused on the goal?
Herff has an environment that promotes meaningful interaction and collaboration. I
had wonderful support from my peers and faculty alike. It was easy to find study groups,
and faculty were accessible.

Herff is a place where you can learn, get involved, and make an impact during your
college journey. Herff is a place where you can be part of a community working to
improve the world around us. Herff is a place where you can create your future.
What do you know now that you wish you had known during your time at Herff?
I remember being very glad to have finished my last class for my last degree. However,
I soon recognized that engineering requires continuous learning, writing, and testing,
just like my class
Was your Herff experience worth the price? If you could do it over again, what would
you do differently?
Yes. Herff faculty and staff always demonstrate that they are invested in students
and helping them reach their career goals.
