About Debra Wyatt
One of the University's own, Debra Wyatt attained her bachelor's degree from the University College and a Master of Science in Health and Sport Sciences. Initially hired as teaching faculty and director of the physical activity program, Debra’s primary focus was coordinating and promoting all PHED classes. Over time, her role has expanded to serve as the academic scheduler for all courses under the College of Health Sciences, scholarship coordinator and the supervisor of academic advising.
In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Debra teaches classes such as Emergency Medical Response (EMR), Responding to Emergencies (RTE), lifeguarding, professional development and all levels of swimming. As an American Red Cross Instructor Trainer, she certifies faculty and staff in her college and occasionally across campus in life saving care. Debra is also certified and licensed as a National Registry Emergency Medical Technician and stands as the first responder for human research studies within the college as needed.
