About the Graduate Student Association
The University of Memphis Graduate Student Association
- Represents the interests of all graduate students campus-wide
- Is the official liaison for graduate students to communicate as a group with University and Graduate School administrators
- Advocates for the support of graduate student research and teaching experiences
All graduate students are automatically members of the Graduate Student Association (GSA). If you do not see the "Graduate Student Organization" on your TigerZone home page, click TigerZone to navigate to our page and click "join".
All graduate students are encouraged to participate in GSA meetings and may serve on our committees! You do not have to be a member to attend events.
GSA General Assembly Representatives
Students from each department are (self or otherwise) elected or chosen to represent their department as a GSA General Assembly Representative. Student representatives maintain communication within their department and relate student concerns to the GSA Executive Board through a short, five-question survey completed once a month as well as attending two meetings per semester (face-to-face and virtual options). If you are interested in serving as a representative, please contact the GSA President Christopher Harris at cdhrrs15@memphis.edu.
