The University of Memphis has numerous number degrees where you can apply to the US government for a STEM extension visa. This may give you three years of work permit. Memphis is very fortunate to have some of the Fortune 500 companies in town which hire extensively from the University of Memphis. FedEx, AutoZone, International Paper, Holiday Inn’s IT division and many more companies have their headquarters in Memphis. Students meet recruiters in Internship and Career Fairs organized by the University and individual Departments. Our industry partners are highly involved with the university, even sponsoring the building the Graduate School is located in, the FedEx Institute of Technology on the University of Memphis campus.
