UofM Biomedical Engineering Graduate Students Commemorate Biomaterials Day

Graduate students in biomedical engineering commemorated Biomaterials Day by holding a conference on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM in the Fishbowl in the FedEx Institute of Technology. The conference focused on materials science research for biomedical applications and featured graduate students and researchers from University of Memphis as well as regional universities like Vanderbilt, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and St. Louis University. There were both oral presentations and poster presentations. Logan Boles, a master's student in biomedical engineering at the University of Memphis said, "Biomaterials Day was a very fruitful event. It showcased research from several universities and industry professionals and provided a platform to grow your professional network. As a graduate student soon to be seeking employment, this occasion was the most useful event that I have attended at the University of Memphis."
