This is an interdisciplinary minor to prepare students to pursue professional STEM careers in the agricultural industry.
Overview:
- 15 credit hours (9 upper divison)
- 6 credit hours with agriculutreal science concentration
- 3 credits within humanity/societal concentration
- 3 credits within the policy/management concentration

Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation & Management, BIOL 4093
Undergraduate: Introduction to ecological principles and wildlife management and provides
a variety of preparatory content and resources designed to prepare individuals to
earn the Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation & Management certification.
Introduction to Agriculture Studies, BIOL 1009
Undergraduate:Emphasizes interdisciplinary and systematic approaches to studying agricultural
life sciences, agricultural conservation and sustainability, food science, agricultural
data, and supply chain traceability.
Discover Conservation Entrepreneurship
Conservation entrepreneurship represents the research, innovation, and implementation of sustainable solutions to reduce the ecological impact of human activity while supporting thriving agricultural ecosystems that ensure food security and economic vitality. ACRE fosters conservation entrepreneurship through translational research needed to bring new ag and conservation innovations to market and accelerate their adoption. ACRE also provides specialized contract research services to de-risk technologies by addressing technical, environmental, economic, and logistical challenges to commercialization.
