National Student Exchange
The University of Memphis was the first institution in the state of Tennessee to offer students the opportunity to attend one of over 150 institutions nationwide in an exchange program. As a student, you would have the opportunity to take classes not offered at The University of Memphis and pay in-state tuition while participating in the National Student Exchange. You also would have the opportunity to investigate a possible graduate school choice and experience a different culture or region of the United States.
Students participating under The National Student Exchange (NSE) program may apply for financial aid, usually at the home institution or degree granting institution. It also would depend on what plan (i.e. A or B) you were under whether you would apply for aid through The University of Memphis (home) or the exchange institution (host). You may NOT apply for aid at BOTH institutions.
The NSE Coordinator will inform the Student Financial Aid Office, the Bursar's Office, Admissions, Registration and other offices on campus if you are participating in a NSE program.
