Biography
Tzveta Vateva earned her PhD in Finance from Kent State University in 2014. Her research is focused on the intersection of credit risk management and the quality of corporate governance. She has presented papers at the annual meetings of the Financial Management Association, and the Eastern and Midwest Finance Associations. Tzveta is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst since 2019. Her other certifications include Data Science and Business Analytics (2022) and SixSigma Black Belt (2010).
She has taught a variety of classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels – corporate finance, investments, portfolio management and security valuation, international financial management, independent study in finance, and entrepreneurial finance.
A life-long learner herself, Tzveta is passionate about turning her classroom into an active and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth. She is deeply committed to her students’ academic and professional success and strongly encourages their professional and community engagement.
