International Student Requirements
International applicants will need to fulfill these additional admissions requirements
International Transcript Evaluation
For all non-US transcripts, an evaluation by any credentialing agency listed on the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) website or Association of International Credential Evaluation Services website is required.
- To be considered, the following must be included in the credentialing agency's transcript
evaluation:
- A course-by course report.
- Grade point average (GPA) equivalency.

you select the right kind of evaluation at a discounted rate.

Language Proficiency Requirement
As per Graduate Admissions requirements, acceptable English proficiency test scores are as followed and should be submitted electronically through the organizations websites.
- Duolingo English Test
- 110 or higher on the overall score.
- School Code = 1459
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
- 550 or higher on the paper version
- 80 or higher on the internet-based test
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
- 6.5 or higher
- 6.5 or higher
- PTE (Pearson Test of English)
- 59 or higher
- 59 or higher
Other Requirements
- Graduate Admissions requires you to provide evidence of financial support with your application.
- Once admitted, you will need to satisfy health related requirements.

International Merit Scholarship
The UofM selectively awards competitive merit-based scholarships for newly admitted degree-seeking international students on a J-1 or F-1 visa. This scholarship is designed to support international students who matriculate and take classes on the UofM campus as they work toward an undergraduate or graduate degree.
