FCBE Graduate Scholarships

The Fogelman College of Business & Economics has numerous scholarship opportunities available to our graduate students. The following information pertains to private scholarships awarded only to students majoring in business. Business graduate students interested in applying for these college-specific scholarships should visit our FCBE Scholarship website. Students interested in applying for university-wide scholarships should visit the UofM Scholarship Website or in person at 107 Wilder Tower.

Important Things to Remember

  • All Business Students interested in applying for these college-specific scholarships should visit our How To Apply page.
  • If you do not receive a scholarship the first time you apply, you are still encouraged to reapply the next year.
  • Awarding of any scholarship depends upon the availability of funds.
  • Assuming you meet the requirements you may apply for more than one scholarship.
  • If you do not meet the requirements or fail to complete all sections of the application, you will be eliminated from the selection process.
  • Students should display a solid academic performance in their graduate courses.
  • All students must have officially declared their business major by the scholarship deadline of a future date to be determined.

 

Scholarships by Academic Area

 

International Merit Scholarship

The UofM selectively awards competitive merit-based scholarships for newly admitted degree-seeking international students on a J-1 or F-1 visa. This scholarship is designed to support international students who matriculate and take classes on the UofM campus as they work toward an undergraduate or graduate degree.

On-Campus Employment for Students

 

The MBA program does not offer graduate assistantships, but you may find on-campus employment using the resources below. 

If you are an international student, you will need to fulfill certain conditions and should visit the International Students Services (ISS) website to find more information. 

 

TigerLink

There may be campus-wide employment opportunities or assistantships available that you can access using TigerLink. This includes work that is done for the university, or for commercial firms operating on campus (such as Starbucks). 

 

UMRF Ventures

The UMRF Ventures is a company affiliated with the University of Memphis, that provides part-time on-campus jobs for University of Memphis students.

UMRF Ventures works with partner companies, develops customized service companies that employ UofM students, and establishes a talent pipeline for those partners to hire UofM students when they graduate.
