Graduate School Application Guide
Step by Step Process for Applying
- Start by visiting the UofM's electronic application system: Tiger Tracks Portal
- Select one (1) of the following options:
- Login to Continue Your Application
- Create an Account to Start an Application
- Once inside the portal, select "Start a New Application" or an "In-Progress" application.
- Start completing application and please note important details regarding certain sections below.
- Academic Information:
- In this section you will list all previously attended colleges and university for any length of time, including the University of Memphis, followed by uploading
the transcripts for each institution listed.

- Course of Study:
- In this section you will select your desired program of study.

- Program Details :
- In this section you will indicate how/where you plan to study. Either a combination
of on-campus and online courses, or 100% online.

- Program Requirements:
- If your program requires additional materials for admission, you will upload those additional items in this section.
- NOTE: be sure to read the instructions about uploading documents. Once a document is uploaded, it cannot be deleted. If you are unable to provide the required documents when you start your application,
you will be able to upload them via your "Applicant status portal" following the submission
of your application.
- Recommendations:
- If "Letter(s) of Recommendation" are required, they will be upload in this section.
- First, enter the name and contact information of the individual(s) who agreed to write the recommendation.
- Once the application is submitted, they will be notified and given access to upload their letter on your behalf.
- You can still submit your application, even if your recommenders haven't uploaded
their letters yet.
- If "Letter(s) of Recommendation" are required, they will be upload in this section.
- Academic Information:
- Complete the remaining sections of the application and submit.
After your application has been submitted, return to the Graduate Admission’s website for additional detail regarding “Next Steps” if you are application is accepted.
