The Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics for Technology is a four-course program that can be taken post-bachelor’s degree, post-master’s degree or as part of a master’s degree program.

This program is comprised of many contemporary tools, concepts & techniques in high demand such as machine learning, data management, problem solving, systems implementation & management, statistical analysis tools and programming languages used in analytics.

Curriculum 

The Data Analytics for Technology Certificate is a 12-credit hour/four course program.

Design your schedule to meet your needs and interests based on the following options:

Required:

  • MIS 7190 – Programming for Business
  • MIS 7660 – Advanced Database Management
  • MIS 7620 – Business Machine Learning I
  • MIS 7621 – Business Machine Learning II

Admission Requirements


  • U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, awarded by an accredited college or university. The MSIS program will consider three-year degrees from accredited institutions.

  • 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale).

  • GRE or GMAT (to inquire about GRE/GMAT waivers, please email Anna Myers at ammyers@memphis.edu

  • English Proficiency if applicable.
