Program Overview
This program allows outstanding undergraduates to begin taking graduate courses during their senior year. These students demonstrate that they seek to challenge themselves, which makes them stand out to graduate schools and prospective employers.
In this program, students can complete a BBA degree while simultaneously completing graduate-level courses that can count toward a Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS). Only in this ABM program, may graduate course work (up to 9 credit hours) be applied to both undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Students are encouraged to contact both their undergraduate academic advisor and the graduate academic coordinators early so that they can begin to plan their course of study.
Requirements
Below are the admissions requirements and necessary documentation needed to participate in the ABM program:
- 3.25 minimum grade point average (GPA)
- Two (2) reference letters
- Copy of transcript
- Interview with the graduate academic coordinator in the Department of Management Information Systems
Admission
Students must also apply to the Graduate School for the accelerated BBA+MS program, which allows them to take graduate courses in Management Information Systems.
Continuation in the master's program beyond the BBA in not required. However, students wishing to continue after graduating with their bachelor's degree must apply for full admission to the UofM Graduate School and the FCBE Department of Management Information Systems.
Note: Any graduate coursework will not apply to the undergraduate GPA.
