Study Abroad in Ireland

Program Description

Pouncer

Gain valuable hands-on skills in an international internship in one of Central Europe's economic and cultural capitals. Placement in a business or organization that is aligned with your professional and academic goals leads to a meaningful experience that will give your future career a boost. Throughout your internship or your internship class, you will be encouraged to immerse yourself into the local culture, developing practical skills in fields such as marketing, management, communication, international relations, economics, finance, accounting, education, psychology, healthcare, and more. Build your professional network as you gain the hands-on international experience that employers value.

The seven students in the photo to the right, had an incredible summer interning at different organizations in Dublin, Ireland.  They learned more about the Irish culture, business customs, and overall traditions of the Irish city.  In addition to the multicultural environment of Dublin, they interacted with business professionals from the entire European community.

Each student applied and received generous scholarships to help make this program possible. You can share their experience as well!

Program Structure

Students will be placed in an English-speaking internship position. In addition to the internship, all students will attend seminar that will complement and help reinforce the skills being acquired through the internship. Internship work schedules will vary by employer and students will need to be flexible.

  • Internship-Only Program: 6 hours of internship course credit (240 total hours)

Career Benefits of International Education

Stephen OgleMany students find that an international internship enhances their résumé and their career outlooks.  So it was for Stephan Ogle (left) who interned in Dublin in Summer of 2022 and then was accepted to the Master’s in Human Resource Management program at Trinity College in Dublin.  “I owe my acceptance into the Trinity HR program to my HR internship in Dublin at Goal Global” says Stephen.  After successfully completing his degree at Trinity, he was hired to work in Dublin as a HR Rewards Analyst at DCC Vital in Dublin!

International education offers many career benefits from cross-cultural awareness, specific skill development, and individual personal growth.  Explore these options for yourself and become a part of the Dublin Cohort, 2025.
