Dr. Zabihollah Rezaee Authors New Textbook on Business Sustainability, Corporate Governance and Organizational Ethics
MEMPHIS, TN. As the concept of profit-with-purpose is gaining the attention of investors, regulators, and businesses in creating shared value for all stakeholders, business sustainability, corporate governance and organizational ethics (BSCGOE) are taking center stage in the global business environment.
For any business, adopting the right sustainability strategies and practices to effectively respond to social, ethical, environmental, and governance issues while creating sustainable financial performance is critical. Higher education is responding by integrating sustainability, corporate governance, and organizational ethics into their curriculum to prepare the most competent and ethical future business leaders.
Dr. Rezaee's new textbook is the first to present a comprehensive framework of the theory, research, and practice of these three areas of business. This long-awaited text covers business sustainability, corporate governance and organizational ethics in detail—guiding students to a robust understanding with features including chapter summaries, essential terms, discussion questions, and cases for each topic covered.
For application in both undergraduate and graduate levels, the textbook covers four modules consisting of 30 chapters of 959 pages and addresses the business education requirements of the AACSB standards, which now require BSCGOE education for business schools starting January 2019.
Dr. Zabihollah Rezaee is the Thompson-Hill Chair of Excellence, and professor of Accountancy in Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis. His new textbook, "Business Sustainability, Corporate Governance, and Organizational Ethics" was published by John Wiley and Sons, October 2019. The book is co-authored by professor Tim Fogarty at the Case Western Reserve University.
