Rebecca Jones Presented with Best Student Reviewer Award from American Academy of Advertising
MEMPHIS, TN—April 10, 2019. Rebecca Jones, a current PhD candidate in the Marketing and Supply Chain Management Department of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis received the Best Student Reviewer Trainee Award at the recently held AAA Annual meeting in Dallas, Texas.
The AAA fosters research and provides a forum for connectivity for its academic and professional members, and publishes the Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, and the Journal of Interactive Advertising.
Ms. Jones was mentored by two scholars from the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, previous MSCM Department Chair, Dr. Marla Royne Stafford and Associate Professor, Dr. George Deitz. "Marla Stafford and my advisor, George Deitz, are both respected academics in the field of advertising and it was with their guidance I developed a solid foundation in the topics I reviewed," said Ms. Jones.
Ms. Jones earned her undergraduate degree at Reinhardt University in Business Marketing and completed her master's degree at Columbus State University in Organizational Leadership. She began her PhD in the Department of Marketing in the fall of 2015. "I became interested in being a reviewer when Dr. George Deitz presented the opportunity to me last year. The support from Dr. Deitz, Dr. Stafford and the other faculty members have helped me accomplish so many of my academic goals," said Ms. Jones.
