FCBE conducts Quality Driven Management Seminar
For release: May 12, 2017
The Fogelman College of Business and Economics recently finished a 15-week seminar
designed to develop content that focuses on Quality Driven Management (QDM). QDM consists
of organization-wide efforts to install and make a permanent climate in which an organization
can continuously improve its ability to deliver high-quality products and services
to customers as part of its culture. In addition to extensive research into cases
and content needed for the program, the seminar also included a program to prepare
participants for the Fogelman College certification.
Dr. Mehdi Amini, Dr. Ernie Nichols, and Dr. Robin Poston conducted seminar sessions. Among the concepts covered were customer driven quality concerns including how to plan, control and audit quantitative tools for managers and leaders; discussing quality systems such as Six Sigma; and leading change and management projects. Illustrative cases were used to provide context and application of relevant terminology, tools, and systems.
