Dr. Kettinger Published in MIS Quarterly Executive

Dr. Bill Kettinger, professor and the holder of the FedEx Chair of Excellence in Business Information & Technology, recently had his work published in the MIS Quarterly Executive. The article was entitled "Managing IT Integration Risk in Acquisitions." Dr. Kettinger co-authored the article with Stefan Henningsson, Copenhagen Business School Denmark.

This article presented a framework for assessing IT integration risk in acquisitions. Using the experience of Trelleborg AB, a serial acquirer, the authors illustrated the framework's merits for managing high-risk acquisitions and identifying low-risk acquisitions. Based on insights gained from Trelleborg, the authors provided recommendations for CIOs on assessing and managing IT-related risk in acquisitions.
