Congratulations to BIT student Rochandra Prewitt

For release:  April 6, 2016

Rochandra Prewitt a student in the Department of Business Information & Technology (BIT) was recently awarded a regional scholarship by the Memphis chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM). The scholarship included a $1,500 award.

The SIM scholarship is exclusively for junior or senior BIT majors with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Rochandra's excellent GPA and impressive interview made her the ideal choice for the award. She is a great representative of the BIT department.

"I am very appreciative to be chosen for the SIM scholarship," said Rochandra Prewitt. "Both SIM and the University of Memphis have contributed immeasurably to my success."

"Rochandra has proven herself to be a model BIT student. She sets the bar high for herself and works hard to get there," said Dr. Robin Poston, interim chair of the department Business Information & Technology.
