Dr. Albert Okunade Elected to Board of Directors of the International Health Economics Association

Dr. Albert Okunade, professor of Economics and senior research fellow at Methodist-LeBonheur
Center for Healthcare Economics, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of
the International Health Economics Association (iHEA). The iHEA is a leading global professional association of researchers dedicated to advancing
scientific inquiries in health economics research. Board members also include other
researchers from world renowned academic institutions.
Dr. Okunade has also proposed and chaired competitive and invited sessions, discussed
papers, and served on iHEA’s annual Scientific and Strategic Planning Committees. This is an important appointment
and Dr. Okunade’s election attests to both the respect that his research in healthcare
economics has earned globally and to his strong commitment to the iHEA mission.
