Academic/Administrative Summary

Emily Gillo is an instructor/coordinator in the English Department, serving as the departmental Marketing Manager and Event Coordinator. She maintains the department website, creates digital and print marketing materials, and manages all social media accounts. In addition to her marketing service, Ms. Gillo also teaches freshman composition and undergraduate technical communication courses online and currently serves as a member of the English Online Programs Committee and as a co-lead for UM3D's AI Community of Practice. Her research interests focus on the intersections of digital literacy and literacy crises in writing studies, collaborative online writing and pedagogy, and EdTech surveillance studies.
