Dr. Dongwoo (Don) Kim

Biography
Dr. Dongwoo (Don) Kim is an assistant professor of economics at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015, a MA in Economics from the University of British Columbia in 2008, and a BA in Economics and Finance from Hanyang University in 2007.
As an applied microeconomist, Dr. Kim's research focuses on the impact of pension plans and Social Security on labor market outcomes, particularly retirement decisions. His work also explores public policy issues in health and crime economics.
Dr. Kim teaches a range of courses, including graduate-level microeconomics, as well as undergraduate courses in microeconomics, labor economics, health economics, and econometrics.
