Multicultural study at Dali

Dali is one of the most interesting and beautify places for international travelers in Mainland China. It has an ancient city, the capital of the Nanzhao Kingdom, with 1,200 years history that is one of Yunnan's most popular tourist destinations. The city is next to a charming lake, Erhai, and the majestic Cangshan Mountain. It is a multi-ethnic area, such as Bai, Han. It is also a major transportation hub to other ancient towns.

About Dali University 

Dali is a famous tourist city in Yunnan province, and was the capital of Nanzhao Country over 1,000 years ago. The University has two campuses, and covers an area of 2,500 mu or about 410 acres. It has eleven academic disciplines, including education, management, economics, law, philosophy, literature, science, engineering, medicine, agriculture and art. 

The University has one college, sixteen schools, eight research institutes, forty-nine undergraduate degree programs, twenty-eight master's degree programs, and more than seventeen thousand full-time students. The university is located in the foothills of the Cang Mountains, overlooking Erhai Lake and the city of Dali.

Discover the Arts of Qin (Taiwan)

EASI Taiwan

Qin or guqin, is a plucked seven-string Chinese instrument with a history of about 5,000 years, and has traditionally been favored by Chinese ancient scholars and literati. Therefore, it is considered to represent the culture of the literati.

Lin, Lizheng, one of the major qin maker in Taiwan, discovered the traditional method of making qin. He has been teaching apprentices since 1996, and has graduated hundreds of students. 

This program will offer the opportunities to learn arts of qin at the workshop to communicate with Master Lin, and travel to visit the universities in Taiwan.
