Research

The Earth Sciences faculty and graduate students are engaged in a wide variety of research, primarily within the disciplines of Geography, Geology, and Archaeology. However, much of the research is concentrated within our principal research foci. Research in these foci are carried out, in part, through cooperative work with the Center for Earthquake Research and Information (CERI), the Center for Applied Earth Science and Engineering Research (CAESER), Chucalisa Museum, as well as with other departments such as Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, City and Regional Planning, and Civil Engineering.
