Managing Student Accomodations 

Communication from DRS

• Faculty Notification Email: This email lists the accommodations a student will need for your course and will be sent to you from drs@memphis.edu.
• Introduction Email: DRS works with some students to draft Introduction Letters with tips for communication to help professors better understand their student. Students may email this letter to their professors prior to the semester or early in the semester.
• Alternative Testing Services Emails: If you opt to have DRS proctor your students’ accommodated exams, you will receive email communications from drstests@memphis.edu.
• Flexibility Accommodation Emails: If you have students in your class who receive flexibility accommodations, you may receive emails from drsflex@memphis.edu.
• Notetaker Emails: If you have a student who needs a peer notetaker in your class, you may receive emails regarding this accommodation from drsnotetakers@memphis.edu.

DRS Online Instructor Portal 

Rather than keeping track of Instructor Notification emails, you can view and manage student accommodations for each one of your classes by logging into the DRS Online Instructor Portal. Here you will be able to do the following:

• View student accommodations for each of your courses
• Add an instructor to the course
• Upload your course syllabus
• Complete exam instructions and enter test dates
• View flexibility plans
• Check volunteer notetakers for accuracy/quality
