Welcome to APS CU*iP at the University of Memphis

CU*iP is a professional conference experience for undergraduate women and gender minorities to build their networks and further their careers in physics. It is a three-day regional APS conference for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics where events are tailored for undergraduate physics majors.

In 2024, these conferences, previously known as Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP), were renamed the Conferences for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics as part of APS's Gender Inclusive Physics Community.

We welcome you to join us for an enriching experience featuring a national keynote address, dynamic plenary sessions, valuable networking opportunities, guidance on navigating graduate school and career paths, and mentorship opportunities from leaders of the Conference for Graduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics.

PURPOSE of CU*iP

CU*iP Purpose and Aims: The goal of APS CU*iP is to help undergraduate women and gender minorities continue in physics by providing them with the opportunity to experience a professional conference, information about graduate school and professions in physics, and access to peers in physics of all ages with whom they can share experiences, advice, and ideas. The national and local organizing committees of APS CU*iP strive to create a welcoming environment for all.
